1. Turning on the Smart Phone
After you are ready, now you are about to turn the device for the first time ever. Take a look at the right side of the device and there will be to buttons. The shorter button is the power button. Press it and hold for at least five seconds to turn on the device. Once the device is turned on, there will be an option to choose the language that will be used in the device. 2. Google Account

If you have already had a Google account, select “yes” and then enter your Gmail address and the password as well. Then, press “done” or “continue”. It will automatically restore everything and your new Motorola smart phone will have the same exact apps like your previous device.
However, if you do not have Gmail yet, you can create one by entering your name and then the address of the Gmail that you desire. You will then set up the password and then in few more steps you will be done. When the Gmail set up is done there will be “You’re all set…” notification on the screen. It means you are ready to use the smart phone.
3. The Rest of the Set Up
You can set everything up from the setting option inside the menu. You can change the ringtone of the device and message notifications from the “sound” option in the setting. If you want to adjust the brightness of the screen and change the wallpaper, go to “display” option. If you want to set up password to lock the device, go to “security” option.
