How to Fix Samsung Galaxy S6 Wi-Fi Won’t Connect, Drops, or Slow

Many people find problems to connect their new phone with Wi-Fi connection. This issue is also found at people who use Galaxy S6 as their new phone.

One of temporary solution for Wi-Fi connection problem in your phone is by turning off your Galaxy s6 and also the router. After turning them off, you can turn them on and try to connect the phone to Wi-Fi connection. This solution often works for a while but not last long.

The next option is reset Wi-Fi connection setting in your phone with these steps: go to Settings, choose Wi-Fi and after long press on the troublesome router, tap Forget network then you can try to setting it up from scratch.

If there is a 2.4 GHz connection, you can choose it rather than use 5 GHz connection so that you can see the difference between connecting to both of them and choose what you really need.

Other option is to use free application like Wi-Fi Analyzer to help us in controlling the using of channels, whether those are too crowded or not. Switching the busy channel that you are using can give a big help.

It is important to ensure that the filter on your router is off or you already added your Galaxy S6 MAC address by checking Settings > Wi-Fi > More, and tap Advanced, then find your Galaxy S6 MAC address listed there.
