How to Boot into Fastboot Mode on Nexus 5X

Fastboot Mode on Nexus 5X – If you ever to make certain changes on your Nexus 5X, then you need to know how you can boot your device into Fastboot Mode. Why? Now you know that fastboot mode and bootloader mode is the same, it is about time you learn how to boot your Nexus 5X to this special mode. The process is pretty simple and you can succefully done it by following this guide:

  1. Power OFF your device first. As always, powering down the device is the first step to take since you are about to enter a different mode than the regular one so make sure that it has turned off completely first.
  2. When the phone is off, you need to press and hold two buttons in the same time, in this case Power button and Volume Down button.
  3. Do this for several seconds until you notice the screen on your phone show the Fastboot Mode screen. Only when it appear on the screen then you can release your hold on those buttons.

You need to know that in special mode like this one, the touch screen wont work. Instead you have to use the physical Volume Up and Volume Down button to go from one option to another. Do not worry, because in the Fastboot Mode you will see the menu appear on a list so all you need to do is move up and down until you find the option you want to take.

In this mode, you can perform differnt things such as execute ADB commands, boot into Recovery Mode, execute fastboot commands and so on. Feel free to look and see what kind of option that is available in Fastboot Menu and highlighted the options you want to take. To choose the option, press Power button and the process will begin.

As you can see, the process is very simple and it takes only seconds to do that. When you done with this mode and you are happy with the action you perform, then you can go back to regular mode.

Highlight and choose the “Reboot” to order the phone to reboot back to its regular mode. Now you already know how you boot into fastboot mode, and you can perform any necessary actions that you want to do with your Nexus 5X to give it a boost of performance.
