How to Disable Galaxy Apps Promotions on Galaxy S7

If you find that push notification from Samsung Galaxy App store that inform about their app and other promotions is way too much for you, then you can disable it completely so it won’t bother you anymore.

Samsung has its own app store that they called Galaxy App Store. It makes Samsung stand out from the rest of the competitor since there are not many phone manufacturers that has their own app store. Galaxy app store is the place where people can download paid or free app for their Samsung device.

  1. Go to Galaxy App Store application on your Samsung Galaxy S7.
  2. At the top right of your screen, there is “More” button. Tap on it.
  3. On the drop down menu, choose “Setting” option.
  4. Find the “Notification” section.
  5. Notification section is the area that holds all sorts of notification options.
  6. What you need to do is find the Push Notification option (usually located on the second option in this section) and when you find it, toggle the option to disable it. If you want to enable it in the future, simply follow the same process and toggle the option to enable it.

Now, there is a way to avoid having to receive the notification in the first place. If you think that you don’t need to use Galaxy App Store, then you don’t have to create and sign in to Samsung account when you set your Galaxy S7.

This app will be installed in your device only if you create Samsung account, but if you don’t, then it will never show up in App drawer and you won’t be bothered with the push notification promotion from Samsung.

But if you do find that you need to have Samsung account for whatever reason you have in there, and then go ahead, create an account and disable this push notification.
